“Capitalism has evolved into an expression of the worst of people. It encourages greed & selfishness, so it’s cannibalism, right? You feed on the less fortunate. I have a lot of problems with the idea of America as a place where anybody can succeed. To some extent that’s true but, more & more, it’s harder for someone at the bottom because the bottom is a large segment of society that’s necessary for capitalism to function. & when you see it becoming harder & harder, & the gap between the rich & the poor is getting wider & wider, it all goes back to the loss of potential - loss of potential for everyone.
